Puppeteer: Cannot download a binary for the provided platform: {value} ({value})
The installer has no supported browser binary for the detected platform.
The installer has no supported browser binary for the detected platform.
Error message
Cannot download a binary for the provided platform: {value} ({value})
{value} is replaced by the value shown in your error message.
How this error happens
The browser download needs a recognized target platform. If automatic detection returns no platform, this operation cannot choose a compatible browser artifact.
The failing command assumes an unsupported OS/architecture or a wrapper that failed to pass its detected platform.
npx puppeteer browsers install
How to fix
For an actual Linux x64 deployment, supply the corresponding target platform explicitly. Otherwise choose the supported platform matching your deployment or use a supported remote browser.
npx puppeteer browsers install chrome \
--platform=linux
Things to keep in mind
This is a cross-platform download example, not a repair for an unsupported local OS. A Linux binary will not run on macOS or Windows. Public platform validation can reject before the deeper internal message.
